My First Destination Wedding (Orlando Wedding Photographer)

I was invited to attend a wedding in Puerto Rico roughly a year ago by the couple. The couples family hired a local wedding photographer to take pictures as their wedding present to the bride and groom.  However being a photographer myself, I bring my camera around with me wherever I go for the most part.  This time I was on a vacation and this was my first time in Puerto Rico.

During the wedding I took some random pictures of the beautiful bride and groom arriving at the wedding venue itself and some pictures of my friends that attended the wedding with me.  At the middle of the wedding while I was sitting with the guests, the photographer's assistant comes to me and asks me for help.  The photographer's camera batteries died and he had to charge them, meanwhile they wanted me to take over and take the pictures.  So I went ahead and took over, without an assistant to help me out and only my camera, without lighting and all..... A few months ago about one year to their wedding day, I spoke to the bride who had told me that they still to that day did not get the pictures from their wedding.  She was very thankful I took some wedding pictures for them otherwise they would not have had any pictures.

I think it is very important for all wedding photographer's to have a back up battery and back-up Camera for that matter in case their camera breaks during the ceremony.  I always carry a back up battery and camera with me during my shoots.
