Remembering the Fallen - Tribute to 911
Nothing I can say or do can ever express the way I feel about the September 11 2001 terrorist attacks. It has been 13 years since the attacks and everything is still so vivid in my mind. I was working as a registered representative at one of the brokerage firms in town. We were tuned into CNBC before the bell like usual and the report was interrupted by the breaking news of the fire and airplanes hitting the World Trade Center and also the Pentagon. Shortly thereafter we were all sent home and the market was closed for a few days. I continued watching the news at home. I feel for the casualties and the suffering the victims went through, people that lost their loved ones, the heroes who were there to help, firefighters, policemen, medical staff and also the good samaritans who helped out. New York City has never been the same since.
I visited New York City in 2013 and went to Ground Zero. I am so glad they have rebuilt and have made it a memorial and a museum. The picture I am sharing is my tribute to the memory of those who have lost their lives, the living heroes and for the families who have lost their loved ones.
